★How to buy a ticket★
①You can buy a ticket at 「みどりの窓口 (Midori-no-Madoguchi)」or 「券売機 (kenbaiki; ticket vending machine)」 of a major JR station.
(※If you are buying for the first time, we recommend 「みどりの窓口」)
②At the ticket counter, tell the clerk 「乗る区間 (travel section)」「乗る時間 (travel time)」「自由席か指定席か (unreserved or reserved seat)」.
(※Unreserved seat→You can sit on any seat but may not be able to sit when crowded; Reserved seat→Seat is guaranteed always. Slightly expensive than unreserved seat.)
